Christmas

Christmas in Stretton Parish

One of the lovely traditions of Christmas is the singing of carols, one of the most famous being “O Come All Ye Faithful”. Our theme this year is “O Come Let us Adore Him”, a line in this carol, encouraging us to come together to worship Christ, whose birth we celebrate at Christmas. Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is an opportunity to pause and give thanks for the greatest gift of all: the love, hope and joy found in Jesus, our Saviour and friend.  There is an invitation for each of us to come to Jesus and find hope, forgiveness and life in him – for He is alive and is King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Alpha Course
Why not spend some time this Advent & Christmas considering what this means for you today, as well as for all of mankind? Perhaps ask God some questions you have about this faith stuff – if you have questions, why not join our Alpha Course in January?

Living Advent Calendar
Our Living Advent Calendar is taking place around the Strettons this Advent. Each “window” will depict a famous Christmas carol – why not have a look each day, admire the displays and see which carols you recognise? Details of where the “windows” of the calendar will be opened each day are below.

Christmas Services
You will be warmly welcomed at any of our events and services this Christmas time to celebrate God’s gift of Jesus, we would love to see you!
