We're seeking an Operations Manager
Overview
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is seeking to establish a part-time Operations Manager at this exciting time of growth and flourishing ministry across Stretton Parish.
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Rector, Ministry Team, PCC and the Parish Administrator to ensure that structures and systems are in place to support all our church ministries, and to mobilise resources, both human and physical, which will release the Ministry Team to focus on our purpose of Making Jesus Known across the Parish.

Key tasks and responsibilities
As Operations Manager, you will ably perform the following tasks and hold the following responsibilities:
- Support and assist in the planning, development and implementation of the Parish’s vision, and of the strategy for its buildings.
- Organise and manage all operations support for church services, events and day-to-day activities, ensuring that buildings are ready, and resources are in place.
- Oversee the fabric of all Parish buildings and ensure that they operate in a safe manner and are compliant with appropriate regulations.
- Hold overall responsibility for communications, ensuring high quality print and online communications, and a digital and social media presence which strengthens the life and ministry of the Parish.
- Ensure that the Parish’s wi-fi is functioning to its best capacity.
- Hold overall responsibility for data protection, ensuring that Stretton Parish activities are GDPR compliant.
- Recruit, equip, inspire and engage an Operations Team of volunteers, liaising closely with the HR Committee and the Parish Safeguarding Officer.
- Provide holiday cover for the Finance Officer and the Parish Administrator.
Knowledge and skills
As Operations Manager, you will demonstrate that you have the following knowledge and skills:
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise work, set and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent ICT skills, including familiarity with a range of social media.
- Effective communication across a variety of media in a range of situations.
- Ability to think strategically and to analyse and seek logical and creative solutions to sometimes complex situations.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to delegate operational tasks appropriately.
- Knowledge and understanding of Church of England and other regulations as they relate to all of our buildings.
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and how it impacts all Parish activities.

Stretton Parish, Diocese of Hereford
Part time – 25 hours per week (may include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
£14.15 per hour
Fixed term for 2 years, initially
